Thoughts from this morning’s chapel message from Dr. Sinclair Ferguson
The Apostle Paul writes:
“Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13-14)
Now those with Paul might look at him after reading this and say, “Paul, I’ve seen you, you don’t just do one thing, you do a thousand things! You preach everywhere you go, you get put in prison, you cause riots, you get beat – really, ‘one thing’?”
But the truth is that Paul did one thing, a thousand different ways.
His ambition was to know Christ and the power of His resurrection.
May we be found doing one thing, a thousand different ways as well.
